Princeton Review Ranks GWU #1 Most Politically Active School Nationwide

The prestigious Princeton Review organization, which surveys 371 top schools across the country, ranked the students of George Washington University the most politically active student body in the country. This honor validates the College Democrats' relentless efforts in encouraging a spirit of activism and service on campus, both during and after the historic 2008 election season. From canvassing critical states and towns to lobbying representatives on the Hill, the Princeton Review recognizes the role that our organization's activities and events play in energizing and motivating our student body at large.

A welcome message from Communications Director Matt Ingoglia

To the Class of 2013,

On behalf of the GW College Democrats Executive Board, I want to take this opportunity to welcome you into our student body. As CI has certainly demonstrated, the GW community prides itself on welcoming the freshman class with style and spirit.

I certainly won't be the first or last person to mention this, but the years ahead will offer you numerous opportunities to pursue your aspirations and desires. My job as Communications Director and the mission of this organization is to provide progressive-minded students like yourself the ability to take advantage of everything this campus and district have to offer, whether they be internships on the Hill or campaign trips across the country.

College Dems awarded GW's Student Org of the Year

GW College Democrats were recently awarded the prestigious Pyramid Award for Student Organization of the Year at SAC's 24th Annual Excellence Awards. We were nominated among two dozen other student organizations. This is the first time in history that the GW College Democrats won this award.

This award recognizes organizations with exceptional performance in motivating and organizing fellow students to enhance campus life, which is exactly what you helped us do this year with your participation in our campaign trips and campus events. This recognition belongs to all of you as much as it does to the Board, and it's something in which you should take a great deal of pride. It never would have happened without you.

Let's never forget the fun we had making this organization great, and keep doing our thing to ensure 2009-2010 is just as memorable!
