About the College Democrats

GW College Democrats is the largest and most active progressive organization on campus. Our purpose is to promote the ideas and values of the Democratic Party on campus, and support Democratic candidates for office. We regularly host high profile and progressive speakers from both inside and out of government. In addition, we support candidates for national and statewide office, often traveling great distances to campaign on their behalf. Lastly, we promote Democratic values through community service and issue advocacy events. GW College Democrats is the only progressive organization on campus recognized and supported by the Democratic Party and the Democratic National Committee.
