3. Get Involved!
There are plenty of ways to jump in and get involved with the College Democrats on campus.
Phonebank
Calling voters in key electoral regions is a key way of getting out Democratic voters on election day. The GW College Democrats sponsor phonebanks during key elections nationwide.
Join Campaign Trips
GW College Democrats sends buses of dedicated members to canvass during important elections. These fun one-day or weekend excursions help Democrats win. Last year, we had campaign trips to Virginia, North Carolina, Ohio, and Georgia, and this year we're planning trips to New Jersey and Virginia for the Gubernatorial campaigns in these two key states!
Debate
The GW College Democrats will be hosting 8 debates on salient issues with the College Republicans to create a discourse on campus about the issues, and to further our causes amongst the student body. If you're interested in debating, contact Political Affairs Director Emma Carpenter.
Run for Freshman Representative
The College Democrats relies on its Freshman membership in order to continue our advocacy for the Democratic Party. In order to effectively reach out to Freshmen, the incoming Freshmen Democrats elect two Representatives to the Executive Board, one from each campus. If you're interested in running, contact Membership Director Alex Wright!
