On Sunday, May 3rd at 5:30pm, Moment Magazine is hosting a program at the Newseum celebrating the 50th anniversary of the Voting Rights Act. The event will include former Congressman Barney Frank, Congresswoman Eleanor Holmes Norton, civil rights leader Julian Bond, and GW School of Media and Public Affairs Professor Steve Roberts. Many of the leaders and activists of that time were students. The program will tell their story, and explain how their courage and dedication strengthened American democracy. The event is FREE!
