Women and Youth Supporting Each Other (W.Y.S.E.) is a curriculum-based group mentorship program that provides young women with the resources, information, and support necessary to make informed and empowered decisions about relationships, sexuality, and their futures in order to create community change. There are a number of aspects that make up W.Y.S.E. at GW including In-School Sessions, One-On-One Mentoring, and Special Events. From participating in W.Y.S.E., you will gain leadership skills, create a long-lasting relationship with a middle school girl, and make a difference in the lives of young women in DC. W.Y.S.E is also a chance to meet and become friends with other women at GW who hold the same passion and interest in serving the youth community in urban D.C.
The application is due Wednesday, April 1st at 5pm. Please do not hesitate to contact their Recruitment Director, Kenzie Dart ([email protected]) with any questions or concerns.
