Everytown for Gun Safety is hiring a paid Political Intern for its fall 2015 internship program. The term will begin in September and end in December. About Everytown for Gun Safety Everytown for Gun Safety is the largest gun violence prevention organization in the country with more than two million supporters including mayors, survivors, and Americans of all political stripes who are fighting for public safety measures that respect the Second Amendment and save lives. At the core of Everytown are Mayors Against Illegal Guns and Moms Demand Action for Gun Sense in America, a grassroots movement of American mothers founded on the day after the Sandy Hook tragedy. Jamie Raskin for Congress Internship

State Senator Jamie Raskin currently represents District 20 (Silver Spring & Takoma Park) in the Maryland State Senate, where he has served for almost 10 years. Jamie is a professor of Constitutional Law at AU’s Washington College of Law, and has a record of effective progressive leadership in the State Senate, where he serves as the Democratic Whip and has helped pass over 100 bills into law. Jamie is running for Congress in Maryland’s 8th Congressional district now that Congressman Van Hollen has decided to vacate his seat to make a run for the U.S. Senate. Senator Raskin is running on a strong record in Maryland, and he wants to represent Maryland’s 8th in Congress to continue leadership on issues like environmental protections, a strong middle-class economy, and much-needed election reform.
