Virginia Coalition for Immigrant Rights Fellowship

The Virginia Coalition for Immigrant Rights is looking for Advocacy/Voter Registration fall fellows. The fellows will learn about advocacy at both the federal and state level, fellows will be given an opportunity to learn how to run an effective grass roots to advocacy campaign, and design their own advocacy strategy. Fellows will be give the opportunity to meet with Congressional staff and advocate for immigrant rights on behalf of VACIR. The fellowship will also include the opportunity to take a tour of the capital building with Congressional staff, and learn about advocacy from the perspective of the Congressional staffer. There will also be the possibility of meeting with White House appointee staff. As it is an election year in Virginia, they will also be requiring their fellows to do voter registration on his/her campus. Intern with the National Women’s Political Caucus

The National Women’s Political Caucus (NWPC) is seeking part-time interns for work at the National office in downtown Washington, DC! NWPC has a relaxed but lively work environment. Their staff is small so they rely heavily on their interns for the day-to-day operations of our organization. Their interns are progressive thinkers who are passionate about women in politics. They welcome interns from schools all over the country who have varied interests and diverse backgrounds. The only unconditional requirement is an unwavering commitment to women’s rights!
