State Senator Jamie Raskin currently represents District 20 (Silver Spring & Takoma Park) in the Maryland State Senate, where he has served for almost 10 years. Jamie is a professor of Constitutional Law at AU’s Washington College of Law, and has a record of effective progressive leadership in the State Senate, where he serves as the Democratic Whip and has helped pass over 100 bills into law. The Incite Agency is looking for talented communications interns to join their Washington, D.C. office this fall to help assist their busy staff. They are looking for interns who are willing to take initiative when projects pop up at a moment’s notice. It is preferable that interns are available 2-3 full days a week. ABOUT THE CAMPAIGN: Delegate Kathleen Murphy represents the 34th district in the Virginia House of Delegates. She was elected in a special election held on January 6th. The 34th being a historically purple district, Delegate Murphy won in January by only 324 votes, and she faces the same Republican challenger this November. This race is one of the most competitive and most closely watched races in the Commonwealth this year. Re-electing Delegate Murphy will be crucial to protecting education funding, keeping our economy moving forward, and keeping our communities safe. ABOUT THE FELLOWSHIP: The Fall Organizing Fellowship is an internship program that will equip you with the knowledge and skills to run a field campaign. Organizing Fellows will work with campaign staff to expand its outreach efforts across Northern Virginia. This type of hands-on experience would look good on any resume.
