| Senate Majority PAC is seeking a research intern for the remainder of the 2014 election. Interns will have the opportunity to gain experience in messaging and research for an organization dedicated to protecting and expanding the Democratic majority in the U.S. Senate. Interns will join a team taking on Mitch McConnell and his radical Republican caucus in 2014.
Responsibilities:
· Monitor and compile news clips in targeted races.
· Provide support to research staff by examining public records, video and voting records, as well as tracking issues and policy on the Hill and select state legislatures.
· Provide research support for polling, ads and other materials.
· Other tasks as assigned.
Qualifications:
· Excellent research and writing skills
· Strong attention to detail
· Familiarity with Lexis Nexis
· Ability to multi-task and manage time effectively
· Desire to learn and help protect and expand the Democratic majority in the U.S. Senate
· Previous campaign or policy experience a definite plus but not required
