Intern with Jack Evans for Mayor
Councilmember Jack Evans, Democratic candidate for Mayor of the District of Columbia, is seeking a group of dedicated team members to play a key role in his 2014 bid for Mayor. Jack Evans has led the effort to pass marriage equality here in the district, secure funding to build the Nationals Ballpark, and led the revitalization of Chinatown.
The internship program provides an opportunity for students to gain a crucial understanding of the political process, and play a key role in improving the city’s future.We are looking for interns to join our team. Interns will gain substantive work experience in our political outreach department leading projects in voter engagement, team building, political outreach, volunteer recruitment and voter turnout.
Outreach Intern Qualifications:
- Strong interpersonal and written communication skills
- Being creative, innovative and possessing a strong learning curve is helpful
- A good sense of humor
- Excels when working in a high stress environment
- Can manage and prioritize a large workload
- Determined to win!
- Previous campaign experience is preferred but not required
- Working knowledge of Votebuilder is also preferred but not required
