Washington, D.C. - The College Democrats join the nation in mourning the passing of President Gerald Ford. President Ford served our nation dutifully following the greatest constitutional crisis in our country’s history. For that, we all are eternally grateful. We send our deepest sympathies to Mrs. Ford and the entire Ford Family.

College Democrats Have An Amazing First Semester

Happy Holidays from the College Democrats Executive Board.
Fall semester is winding down, and it has been truly amazing for the College Democrats! In four short months we have truly transformed our organization into the premier political group at GW.
Since school has begun we have:
- Hosted 2 US Senators (Barbara Boxer and Byron Dorgan), 2 US Congressmen (Frank Pallone and Robert Wexler), and 3 DC Insiders (Mary Beth Cahill, Chris Jennings, and Brandon Neal)
- Campaigned for the new Democratic majority in Virginia and Pennsylvania
- Rallied with President Bill Clinton, Senator Barack Obama, Majority Leader-elect Harry Reid, Governor Mark Warner, and Governor Tim Kaine
- Hosted an amazing Election Night Victory Party
- Sponsored the DC Democratic Mayoral Debate with the Washington Times
- Held a Progressive Student Organization Fair with ten student groups
- Trained our members to be successful campaigners though the DNC’s acclaimed Election Training Program
- Debated the College Republicans on three separate occasions
- Covered the campus with our progressive messages
- Hosted the Midnight Breakfast
- Screened an upcoming documentary, featuring Congressman-elect Patrick Murphy and former Congressional Candidate Tammy Duckworth
