The George Washington College Democrats are proud to present Christopher Jennings, former President Clinton’s Senior Health Policy Advisor in a discussion on the future of health care in America. Mr. Jennings worked closely with former First Lady Hillary Clinton on the 1993 reform of the American health care system. Prior to working in the White House, he served as a Congressional Aide. Since 2001, Mr. Jennings has been working as a policy strategist, educating and advocating affordable health care for all Americans. The GW College Democrats are proud to present Congressman Frank Pallone, Jr. of New Jersey’s 6th District.  Congressman Pallone serves as a senior member of the House Energy and Commerce Committee, which has jurisdiction over issues pertaining to energy, environment, health care, commerce and telecommunications. He also serves on the House Resources Committee, and as the ranking Democrat on its Fisheries, Wildlife and Oceans Subcommittee. Congressman Pallone additionally holds important leadership positions within the House Democratic Caucus.

The New Jersey congressman plays a vital role in developing and implementing the Democratic Party’s message as the Communications Chairman of the Democratic Policy Committee. In this capacity, he coordinates the party’s message on the floor of the House of Representatives. Since 1995, the Congressman has been a co-chairman of both the Democratic Task Force on Health Care Reform and the House Democratic Environmental Task Force, playing a major role in shaping the party’s agenda on these issues.  We look forward to hearing his expertise on these issues and the successful Midterm elections.
