The announcement that Representative Dennis Kucinich (D-OH) would speak before the GW student body generated a spark on campus. Originally scheduled to speak in the amphitheater On the 3rd floor of the Mawin Center, the event overflowed and had to be moved to the Grand Ballroom. The 200-plus in attendance heard mcinich’s criticism of the Bush Administrations handling of Katrina, the events of September 11th, and the war in Iraq. While this was an event put on by the GW College Democrats, many GW College Republicans came out to listen to the Congressman as well and the crowd was treated to an open, honest discussion of issues confronting the country.
