The GW College Democrats are proud to endorse Vishal Aswani for SA President.

Vishal Aswani is running on a platform of student rights, bringing green change to GW, and a stronger community.

He proposes a student bill of rights outlining what the University can and can't do to students. He is the only candidate with an online test bank ready to roll out as soon as he is elected. He will stand up to Sodexho and fight to eliminate the mandatory spending minimums. While he hesitates from over-selling expectations and is realistic about this fight, he will push all year to see that Sodexho is replaced by private vendors.

In proposing the greening of GW as a top SA priority, he will press the University to meet his package of immediate changes, rather than waiting out commissions which meet for months upon months. Simple solutions - like using eco-friendly ink and paper - will benefit students in their everyday life, like cutting back on printing fees.

Finally, using his experiences in different sectors of the university, including his role as a housing proctor, he proposes a package of policies to unify our community. He is the only candidate who has proposed in his platform the revision of the budget allocation process so that smaller organizations receiver more of the distribution and a database of federal grants. He wants to streamline the Greek housing process and press the University to find more options for grad students, while revising Marvin Center scheduling practices. In bringing more people to live on campus, and more programming and space for student orgs, he hopes to create a more cohesive GW community.
