Please e-mail a candidacy statement of no more than 300 words to gwcdappointed@gmail.com declaring the position for which you are applying. These statements are due by Friday, April 18 at 11PM. Interviews for these positions will be conducted the following week. You will be contacted to arrange an interview shortly after you have submitted your statement. To be considered for a position, you must complete an interview and candidacy statement and you must have been a paid member of the GW College Democrats by April 5.

Two Updates:
First, the election commission wishes to remind everyone that the membership fee is $15 for lifetime membership.

Second, a new set of revised rules for election procedure have been published by the election commission on April 3 and are available in PDF.

The elections for the 2008-2009 GW College Democrats Executive Board will be held on April 7 at 7PM in Funger Hall 108. Candidacy statements are due no later than April 4 at 11PM and should be no more than 300 words. Please e-mail your statement to the Election Commission. In order to vote or run in the election, you must be a paid member by 11PM on April 4. Office hours in MC422 will be held until 11PM to pay the dues. If you are unsure whether you are a paid member, please e-mail membership.

The infusion of faith into the public square, and more specifically, Capitol Hill, is undeniable. On April 9th, the GW College Democrats will host a forum to examine if the role of faith in American political discourse has gone too far, and to discuss what function faith should play in the future.

The GW College Democrats are proud to endorse Vishal Aswani for SA President.

Vishal Aswani is running on a platform of student rights, bringing green change to GW, and a stronger community.

We released the new site this week but a few features are still being worked out. We will begin approving new registered accounts at the end of this week. An e-mail will be sent out over the listserv this week announcing the official launch.
